Gratitude creates positive Karma

I heard one of my Spiritual Teachers say that gratitude creates positive karma.

This got me reflecting deeply upon gratitude.

I wanted to share some of these contemplations with my I AM Mantra community, with the intention it would spark your own inner contemplations on gratitude and how to harness this healing and manifestation energy in your life.

So here are my current thoughts and experiences of gratitude…

Gratitude is a high vibrational energy.

Gratitude transforms our internal state of being which directly influences our experience of life.

Gratitude helps us direct our thoughts, emotions, words, and actions to a positive focus. As we change who we are on an internal level, and how we choose to relate to the world, we begin to change our external reality and the people and experiences we magnetize to us.

For me, gratitude is a conscious daily practice.

It is something I actively choose to cultivate and focus on. This is easier in the joyful moments and can require more determination and courage in the challenging ones.

When I consciously choose to feel gratitude for my life, even for the simple things, I feel a tangible shift within myself. I begin to perceive things in new ways and become open to new possibilities and potentials.

Gratitude is more than a fleeting 'thank you'.

When we choose to practice being grateful every day, we cultivate and expand this positive energy within ourselves, then we naturally share this positive energy with others, and we attract this positive energy back into our lives.

The practice of gratitude is like going to the mental and emotional gym. When you first start it may feel a little strange or you may not feel authentic in your feelings of gratitude (you may even feel like you’re faking it a little). However over time, this energy builds within us, we feel it in deeper, more authentic ways and then we start to naturally create more of this energy in our lives, people start reflecting this energy back to us, and more things to be grateful for start to flow into our experience.

Being grateful regularly is more powerful than many of us realize and it can directly assist with physical well-being, in addition to creating abundance.

A simple gratitude practice…

When you wake in the morning, before you turn on your cell phone, contemplate 3 things you are grateful for, and see if you can really feel being grateful. Remember it can for very simple things. Then when you go to bed, as you lay down, do the same, before you go to sleep, contemplate 3 things you are grateful for.

Starting and completing our days with the energy of gratitude can be assistive to our physical, mental and emotional health. It helps us shift our energy into a “regenerative emotion” which assists with healing of the body and also opens our mind and brain to higher thought patterns and inspired guidance.

Gratitude also opens the heart and connects us with our higher Heart Intelligence, which has multiple significant benefits, including connecting us with our inner guidance system, regulating our nervous system, and accessing higher mental and emotional states.

Working with gratitude for health and wellness, for transforming relationships, and for abundance and manifestation is something I focus on with my clients in my Living Wisdom Coaching practice.
